Asia Pacific Advanced Network Meeting (#38)

The Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN, holds two large meetings every year, on the development and use of National Research and Education Networks (NREN), to support research, education and benefits to society.

For nearly twenty years APAN has supported a wide range of interests around NRENs.  It has active working groups in a range of application, technology and network engineering areas, including Medicine, e-Culture, Agriculture, Earth Monitoring, HDTV, Identity and Access Management, IPv6, Unified Communications, Sensor Networks and others. These working groups foster international collaboration and many partnerships have emerged from them.

The next APAN Meeting (#38) will be held in Nantou, Taiwan over the week 11-15 August 2014.

The Programme Committee now invites proposals for presentations on any topic that relates to the development, deployment and/or use of NRENs both domestically and internationally. Proposals that align with existing working groups are welcomed, but new topic areas are of great interest.

This call is separate to the annual Network Research Workshop also being held in Nantou, and papers for that are being called for through . To support formal academic participation APAN also offers (optionally) formal peer-reviewed proceedings for academic papers, published at

Presenters can be formally invited, with a letter, by the Program/Local Organising Committee. Presentations are usually allocated around 20-30 minutes each. It is also possible to run demonstrations at the conference venue.

This Call for Presentations is now open, and will close by 16 May 2014 with acceptances confirmed by 23 May 2014.
