Web-based interactive e-learning session "Consumers' Acceptance and Behavior of E-Commerce in Asia and Cross Borders"

CONNECT-Asia of Engineering Sciences and Technology (EST) Unit at UNESCO Jakarta in collaboration with NII (National Institute of Informatics) Japan will organize a web-based interactive e-learning session titled "Consumers' Acceptance and Behavior of E-Commerce in Asia and Cross Borders", which will mainly present the observed response of consumers towards the trending e-commerce system in Japan for both domestic and international markets.

This event is free and open for public. Ensure your participation immediately by registering. This event will use the newly developed WebELS web-based meeting system. What you need is basically just an internet connection with your favorite browser with Flash plugin enabled. Note that it is possible to have more than one person attending from the same site.


Wednesday (14 February 2013):

· 03:00pm–04:00pm JST (UTC+9): Connection test; Though it would be very helpful for us to test the connections to our server, this connection test is not obligatory. You can also use this connection test to test-drive WebELS and get familiar with its interface. You can connect to our server using the provided link, login ID, and password for as long as you needed during the provided time slot.

Thursday (15 February 2013):

· Schedule breakdown for the event (all are in Japan Standard Time [JST / UTC+9 – please convert to your local time]):

o 14:00-15:00 : Connection to the server will start to open.

o 15:00-15:05 : Introduction by Moderator

o 15:05-15:55 : 1st lecture by Prof. Hitoshi Okada

o 15:55-16:05 : Q/A (interactive Session)

o 16:05-16:20 : Break

o 16:20-17-10 : 2nd lecture by Miss. Vanessa Bracamonte, Ph.D

o 17:10-17:20 : Q/A (interactive Session)

o 17:20-17:50 : Discussion (interactive Session)
